Credit rules

Creatomate

  • One image is always one credit, at any resolution. source
  • Video credits follow width, height, frame rate and length: one minute at 720p and 25 fps is about 14 credits. source
  • No overage price on the page: to get more credits, you move to a higher plan. source
  • Growth and Beyond offer larger credit choices; the page shows the price of the first choice only, so the table uses it. source
  • Renders are deleted after 30 days. source

MintRender

  • One image or one PDF page costs one credit, for every template and every format.
  • If you send the same template and data again, you get the stored file for free. Previews, test keys and failed renders also cost nothing.
  • Extra credits are off until you turn them on, and you set a monthly spending limit. Unused credits do not carry over.

Move from Creatomate

Make the template again in the MintRender editor (or start from a template), give each changing layer the same field name, then change the API call.

Creatomate source

curl -X POST https://api.creatomate.com/v2/renders \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $CREATOMATE_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "template_id": "YOUR_TEMPLATE_ID_HERE", "modifications": { "Title": "Welcome to Creatomate", "Background-Image": "https://example.com/image1.jpg" } }'

MintRender

curl -X POST https://mintrender.com/v1/render \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $MINTRENDER_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "template": "YOUR_TEMPLATE_ID", "data": { "title": "Welcome to MintRender", "background": "https://example.com/image1.jpg" }, "format": "png" }'
  • template_id becomes template, and modifications becomes data. MintRender field names use letters, digits and _, so Background-Image becomes background (any name you choose in the editor).
  • MintRender answers with the file's URL when it is done.
