Credit rules

CraftMyPDF and APITemplate.io

  • CraftMyPDF: 1 PDF = 1 credit, whatever the number of pages; e-signature 10 credits; watermark and other PDF operations 0.5 credit. Unused credits do not roll over. source
  • APITemplate.io's pages give no credit rules; PDF-only plans count PDFs, the other plans count images and PDFs together. source
  • Neither upgrades a plan by itself; both email at 80% and 100% of the month's credits. APITemplate.io has pay-as-you-go on enterprise plans only, off by default. source source

MintRender

  • One image or one PDF page costs one credit, for every template and every format.
  • If you send the same template and data again, you get the stored file for free. Previews, test keys and failed renders also cost nothing.
  • Extra credits are off until you turn them on, and you set a monthly spending limit. Unused credits do not carry over.

curl -X POST https://api.craftmypdf.com/v1/create \ -H "X-API-KEY: $CRAFTMYPDF_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "template_id": "05f77b2b18ad809a", "output_file": "output.pdf", "data": { "invoice_number": "INV38379", "date": "2021-09-30", "total_amount": "82542.56" } }'

MintRender

curl -X POST https://mintrender.com/v1/render \ -H "Authorization: Bearer $MINTRENDER_KEY" \ -H "Content-Type: application/json" \ -d '{ "template": "YOUR_TEMPLATE_ID", "data": { "invoice_number": "INV38379", "date": "2021-09-30", "total_amount": "82542.56" }, "format": "pdf" }'
  • template_id becomes template; data keeps its fields. APITemplate.io sends the same fields as the JSON body of POST https://rest.apitemplate.io/v2/create-pdf?template_id=…
  • MintRender counts each PDF page as one credit, so a long PDF costs more there than at CraftMyPDF.
  • Repeating rows (invoice lines) are one field per line in MintRender; a table that grows with the data is not in MintRender yet.
